WELCOME TO 575 FIFTH AVE - BROOKLYN, NY 

 

575 Fifth Ave is an infill new construction mixed-use affordable housing project for formerly homeless and low income families earning under 60% of Area Median Income. 575 Fifth is a project developed by the Fifth Avenue Committee (FAC), a 37-year old non-profit community development corporation based in South Brooklyn that advances economic and social justice South by building vibrant, diverse communities where residents have genuine opportunities to achieve their goals, as well as the power to shape the community’s future. 575 Fifth Avenue was designed as a LEED Gold sustainable and environmentally friendly building. 

 

Located on 5th Avenue and 16th Street in the South Park Slope neighborhood of Brooklyn, this five story $11 million project was built on an approximately 10,000 SF site includes 48 rental residential units, approximately 1,500 square feet of commercial space, and over 3,000 square feet of office and community space, and amenities such as a laundry room, rooftop greenhouse, and fully landscaped backyard garden. The ground floor contains four offices, a waiting area, and conference room accessible through the lobby, and community spaces on the upper floors that include an exercise room, computer lab and library, and lounge. This project also includes supportive housing features such as on-staff social workers (operated by the Center for Urban Community Services – CUCS) and therapy spaces. 
The building welcomed new tenants in 2012.
